SV and Tates Creek to meet in the Championship at 2:20.

 

SV defeated Scott County in one semifinal. Tates Creek defeated LCA in the other.

What was the score of the Shelby Valley vs Scott Co. game? I Got to watch Shelby play South Laurel yesterday, SV beat South by 13. SV is a very physical team with a very good point guard. Good experience for South!

Pendleton County JV, and Varsity had to be at PCHS at 6:30 AM on Friday to be in Lexington by 9:00 AM so their to JV teams could play. PC's 2nd JV team (Freshman) played 12 hours apart. PC's last game was at 9:30 PM and that was there 2nd JV team, (Freshman team I think). Then on Saturday they played once again at 9:00 AM and had to be at the HS at 6:30 again. Why in the world would the KBA schedule them that far apart? This is a little out there for me?? :confused: Would anyone know or think why they would do this?? Only getting 5 or 6 hours asleep two nights in a row is a strain on a 14 year old's body.

Spend the night maybe?? I've never seen these tourneys spend much time trying to determine the team's travel schedules? If you sign up, you play when they decide; otherwise stay close to home and play. :confused:

I agree. I was there this weekend and if the had to accomadate everybody it would last weeks.

Yea that is what I was thinking. Why wouldn't they have spent the night?? It is kinda stupid not to spend the night with game times like that?? But they still shouldn't have spread PC's freshman team game 12 hours apart??

Boyle County's games were spread out like that as well. I hate to sound like I am not sympathetic, but if you enter and pay your entry fee, you play when they tell you. Unless you can talk to the organizers and get a favor, there is not a lot you can do but show up and play.

 

If you brought a freshmen team, it was by the school's choice, they played in the JV tourney. There was no freshmen tourney so the tourney organizers wouldn't even be thinking about freshmen to be honest. Boyle County's freshmen played at the JV level as I am sure quite a few other freshmen teams did as well.
