The score some runs finally and now are giving a bunch up.

Looks like BP got hurt again.

Looks like he might be out for rest of game, and maybe more.

Reds lose 10-8.

How do you end the game with a strikeout looking?....Attempt to swing the bat.

Man that was a tough game to sit through. Reds are hanging in there but with no Votto and Bruce and Rosales playing the way they are its not looking good.

Willy Taveras CF

Jerry Hairston SS

Brandon Phillips 2B

Jonny Gomes LF

Ramon Hernandez 1B

Jay Bruce RF

Ryan Hanigan C

Adam Rosales 3B

Aaron Harang P

I'm not sure why two roster moves, unless Maloney is being sent down, and Bailey will be called back up to pitch the next time that spot in the rotation comes open.

Edwin was moved to the 60 day DL, which doesn't really affect his status. He was due out for a little while longer anyway.

That allows Richar to be added to the 40-man.

The Cubs have now passed the Reds in the standings.

Reds trail 2-0 already today.

Here is a question: With Votto out for such an extended period of time, why wouldn't the Reds give Micah Owings an occasional start at first base instead of going with Ramon Hernandez and his subpar bat?

I can understand not starting Owings the day after he is scheduled to pitch and maybe on his throwing day in between starts, but why not utilize him as one of the team's hitting options?

I've wondered the same and hoped he could get an opportunity in LF.

Ramon Hernandez has played fairly well at 1st and was hitting very well until he went 0-31.

Leadoff double by Johnny Gomes. He moves to 3rd on Ramon Hernandez's ground out. Bruce walks.

Hanigan pops up to shallow outfield & Rosales pops out. Runners stranded on 1st & 3rd.
