June 14, 200917 yr I've always thought the Nets were an option, LBJ's friends with the Jigga Man-Jay-Z-and they've always wanted the Nets to move to Brooklyn. I'd say Vince Carter's contract is pretty hefty and his career is coming to an end. Maybe they could get rid of Carter and push hard for LBJ and Bosh or Wade or maybe Amare Stoudemire. LBJ and one of those two along with Devin Harris and Brook Lopez-who will be very good IMO would be a title contender.
June 14, 200917 yr A lot of people give Odom crap for how he acts about fouls on the court but you could not find a better person to look up to off the court. He is truly a class act and does things the right way. Odom has probably been less than what many expected but he's had a solid career. He's a skilled player, not a #1 guy but can certainly be expected to be at least the 3rd option at worst on most nights.

He has a crazy skill set for a guy his size and for whatever reason it just never came together how some people expected but he has had a pretty darn good NBA career.

I like Odom has a player. If he was on any other NBA team then he'd be a lot better option to go too and could potentially put up bigger numbers. I believe the Lakers will keep Ariza and Odom will be the odd man out. Especially if they win the championship then some players feel no need in staying after they've won it.
June 14, 200917 yr I expect the Lakers to keep both Odom and Ariza. Odom has stated publicly he will re-sign or less money and L.A.will be stupid to not re-sign Ariza. Not to mention, Kobe can opt out of his contract this year so if he even thinks they won't do right by the team, I could see him making his contract talks very painful. I'll be very surprised if LeBron leaves Cleveland. He has no incentive to leave when he has gotten them to the Finals once, they were the best team by record this year, and they are so close to LeBron having a MJ type of Finals run of dominance. Not to mention that Cleveland will be able to pay him more than the Knicks. He'd be taking steps backwards if he went to the Knicks. It also seems like guys would possibly take less money to play in Cleveland with LeBron than to take a bigger paycheck to lose, but money makes people do funny things so I guess we'll see.
June 14, 200917 yr I hope LeBron goes to the Knicks...I love the Knicks and I hope he can bring big time basketball back to the Garden!
