Actually, we caught a ladyfish and sliced and diced it...:taz:

Hearing you are shark fishing and seeing you wading reminds me of the story you posted with the guy that had the rattlesnake in his mouth.... it's making me nervous lol!

We were "safe"

I have actually saw two fish in two days that really scared me a little. It was still a great time, though.

I think if you head down toward Ft Walton (it's not a bad drive at all if you don't go around dinner time) there is a bridge down that way I see a lot of guys fishing. I think there might be a little sand bar down there too that they fish. Seems like AJ's (maybe Captain Daves but I think it AJ's) is down that way. That's where most of the fishing boats go in and out. Pretty cool to be down there around dinner to see all the fish they bring in from the excursions.

AdoptedAdmiral was right - the Lighthouse Restaurant is the best. They have a "happy hour" between 4:30 and 8:00. Instead of drinks and appetizers, all 32 entrees on the right side of the menu are half price. It was great!

It's been a nice little trip :thumb:

Any day that combines fishing, dolphins, stingrays, 12-oz cans of beverages, Air Force jets dogfighting overhead, a $30 meal for $15 and a children's wonderland is a great day :thumb:

I found the best sign I've ever seen on an SUV this evening:

I worked very hard this morning to dig a jacuzzi-size hole on the beach. I then tunneled it to the level of the tide and allowed it to continuously fill-up with cool water every 2 minutes or so. As you can see, my son was very pleased:

^ Any deeper then you may have had Chinamen joining him in there. :D

How many "beverages" did you enjoy after all this hard work?
