But back to the NBA.

 

Lakers: Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton. (Yes Malone and Payton were washed up but they could still play and were talented)

 

Nuggets: Anthony teaming up with Iverson

 

 

It most recently worked with the Celtics but with every Celtic team you have 2 that go bad.

 

I'm not the crazy LeBron fan that wants him to have another superstar. Just maybe some role players that aren't one trick ponies. Maybe even a cast like what the Bobcats have. I know the Bobcats aren't good, but with a legit go to guy I think they could be nice.

I think a roster like this would be all that he would need to compete with anyone:

PG- Monta Ellis

SG- Shane Battier

SF- LeBron James

PF- David Lee

C- Tyson Chandler (healthy of course)

What team beats that one?

Lakers? No. Battier and LeBron have enough to at least make Kobe work. Ellis would eat Fisher/Farmar/Brown's lunch, and those two bigs are the type that give the Lakers trouble.

 

Magic? No. Battier is the phycial defender that would slow Turkoglu, Lee is quick enough for Lewis, Ellis is big enough to bother Nelson. Howard would win the Matchup pretty easily with Chandler but I'd take the Cavs.

 

Celtics? No.

 

This isn't a realistic roster, but you could piece together a type of team like that. Good PG, Bigger defensive 2 guard that can shoot, athletic big and a defensive big, you could do that. The Cavs thought they have that but, Mo Williams is really a 2 in a PG's body, West is too short to be a lockdown defender, Varajao isn't athletic, and Big Z's best days are behind him.

The Clippers are terrible because they are the Clippers. Baron Davis played but didn't try. And they have zero go to scorers, which is the same amount the Cavs would have without LeBron. Take LBJ away and the Clips are better than the Cavs. Can that be argued?

I'm just picking the type of players that suit James' game. If I were picking the players I woud want I would get players that I actually like my team would look like Chris Paul, LeBron, LeMarcus Aldridge, Shaq and DWade.

Give me the old man that can get you 10 pts, 12 boards and a couple of blocks over the old guy who is slow and is only valuable as a jump shooter. Big Z is 7-3 and averages 7 RPG. What does that tell you?

Most likely. The Clips had a team to win 30 games. It is easy to lose as a Clipper. The owner doesn't care to lose, the coaches are terrible and the fans...well there aren't any. Plus the Cavs play in the East. I say they MAYBE get to 25 wins without LeBron. Wally Sczerbiak is IMO, the worst player in the league right now and he would be the starting three.

I never said where you play didn't effect your performance BUT what I'm saying is you have to go off of performance. You can not simply say If "x" player tried harder, or played with more heart then he'd do better. I mean if that's the case then you can say that for any player if you're trying to compare them to someone else.
