Final score in 5 innings from the 13th region championship game. Bell Co. was up 5-0 after the top of the first, needless to say it was all South Laurel from then on.

I was in the car and it was 5-0 Bell County. Got out, went in a store for a few minutes, by the time I got home it was 5-3 Bell County, but South was starting to drive the ball, ... and this was the first inning! Looks like South just exploded!!

 

Congrats to Coach Harris and the Cardinals! Do the 13th proud at semi-state!!! :thumb:

South got a couple of first downs early in the game and never looked back and scored three TDs, but missed an extra point. J/K. Good win for South.

The only suprise for me is the way that Bell County just gave up. Congrats to the Cards. I thought that the umpires didn't do a very good job.

I wasn't surprised by the result, ... just by the score and margin. The score the last time was 9-3 in favor of South. Talk about an offensive explosion! South averaged nearly 9 rpg this season and gave up less than 4 rpg. They more than doubled their production in the regional finals. Wow.

The only suprise for me is the way that Bell County just gave up. Congrats to the Cards. I thought that the umpires didn't do a very good job.

 

Greer didn't look too good at all. Unfortunate end to an otherwise good career.

Don't know what happened to them.

Bell had a great run and has a bunch of seniors that will be missed. Several of those boys won a state championship in football. They have always been successful in whatever sport they are in. I hate to see them go out in a game this lopsided, but they did make it to the regional finals and with this group, for the 1st time since the mid 90s Bell has had a good baseball program the past 4 years.

Congrats to the Cards and Coach Wynn Harris.

I agree South has a good team. I think Bell had a good team as well they just didn't play the way that they did last season.

Footbal result may have led to the baseball result, happy with one and settled.

 

To a certain extent they have been successful, but honestly no sport has approached the success of the football team.

 

 

Don't let this one game dampen nice careers from Greer and Co. To Overbay and Greer, congrats on moving on to the next level and good luck in college, remember its just a game, work hard in practice and harder in the class room.
