There is no way Clay should be No. 1, No. 2 or no. 3, maybe.

That's true, but you don't get any points in 2010 for what you did last year. Cumberland won the region in 2003 when they hadn't been in a regional tournament in nine years.

 

I admit it doesn't happen very often though.

 

Clay has had some tough draws, but there are no excuses this year.

I would be surprised if he isn't playing at South Laurel this season. At Corbin, he would still be behind Isaac, who IMHO, is the best PG in the region. However, stranger things have happened. Either way, Sanders can play.

3. Corbin- Return 3 starters from last seasons region title team.

3. South Laurel- They have good guard play and the best big man in the mountains.

4. Knox Central- They have the best player in the region and some good role players.

5. Bell Co.- They have a very good big man in Robbins and return 4 other solid players.

I agree with the top four and can't argue with Bell, but I think No. 5 is open now.

 

Bell County loses Zachery and Wilson. Harlan County loses Caldwell and Polson. Harlan County won both meetings last year even though both games were very close.

Clay Co. will have 4 guys in the starting 5 who can put up big numbers. I believe they also return the top 8 players from last season. St. John is hard match up for any team in the 13th because he is the only 6'7 or 6'8 kid.
