I agree about Fucci - there's no way to truly determine the best player. He sure is fun to watch though.

That was the first game for Fucci since the Regional High School tournament. Tates Creek is one of the top teams in the state in baseball and Fucci has been focused only on baseball.

 

Not bad for a player who hasn't picked up a ball in a long while.

 

I was very dissapointed that the ICE were not at full strength. When they are at full strenght they are fun to watch.

Fucci is sure fun to watch. It is a discussion that can't really be answered as to who the best is but he flat gets after it.

 

Yes, Stenzel seems to play down to comp at times. He can shoot the lights out and is a good player. He took a hard shot on Sunday.

 

For college looks at PG especially, you need to evaluate who can score and who makes their team better. Fucci, Abell and Shanklin do that well.

Based on conversations with a parent from the team, The Truth (Thunder) 16U team played with 3 illegal players in pool play. The Ice contacted their center about playing in a tournament and they were told he was 17, a current junior and about to turn 18. That was the case with at least 2 other players. They quit after pool play, realizing they were in a 16U tournament. If you notice, the Thunder got blown out in the 1st round of the tournament without those guys.

 

I know KBA ran a good tournament but there has to be something done about this.

This could have made some significant differences in bracket play. Especially where the ICE ended up. Unfortunate.

Unless the Bulldogs are planning on making some roster changes they are not in the same catagory as the DSAS or Shining Star.

I will break this down. I agree that the DSAS team is loaded. Every player on this team ranks tops in the state. I don't think you can pack anymore talent on this team. The Shining Stars are a very good team. They don't have as much talent as the DSAS, but they play very well and they get it done. The Bulldogs are a very scary team. They are a couple of missed free throws from being a very good team. With the exception of a loss to Indiana Elite One by 11 and Shining Stars by 23, their margin of loss is 2 1/2 points. IMO I don't feel like this requires a roster change as much as a little developement. This team can play with anyone and is capable of beating anyone. They have the best talent in NKY. Notice the bold in NKY. They do not claim to have the best talent in the state or surrounding states, but what they will claim is that when you play them, you will get a game.

I thought all of the teams had to check in and show birth certificates and grade exception forms. Did that not happen for all of the teams??

I really thought that they were making a big mistake not keeping Matt Trammell on the floor more than they did. He is their best player in my opinion and he seemed to sit a lot. They become much easier to guard when he leaves the floor.
