But there was talk about it. Which I think its kind of silly, people saying well my sources tell me that Hicks is going to Knott and Wright is going to Scott and rumors like that.

Hmmmm, that's a hard one ..... Harlan County, then maybe Corbin ... you just never know.

I'd have to say Harlan Co. Now Corbin? I Can't see that happening!

Like Pitino went to Louisville, Hicks should finish up at Clay Co. ha-ha.

I am sure the other parts of the job makes it worth it. But I feel sorry for people who have to deal with media and speculation all the time. Particularly like a high school coach. Hes a school employee who is a teacher and likes to coach basketball and has to deal with it.

Gosh, I guess the media should just stop covering sports altogether.

A man visiting a school and a high school basketball game are 2 different things. I wish the media would not be so apt to get break a story all the time. All I am saying is I thought it was slightly blown out of proportion. I wish the media would respect people's privacy more, like Alan Cutler chasing Billy Gillispie for example. In this situation I don't think the media did anything wrong, but from people I talked to and stuff I have read it was blown out of proportion.

How was it blown out of proportion? Was the media wrong in reporting that Hicks had an interest in the job and met with their administration?

No I am not saying the media was wrong, but I don't understand why it is a big story until a decision is made. It was the headline on WKYT. From what I have heard from a friend Scott Co. was a really crazy place yesterday. And then there is all the internet rumors. I have heard 10 different people being rumored to be taking the job without it even being open.

When the head coach at Scott County, one of the top jobs in the state, is looking at another in-state job, it's news ... period.

You have to take it for what is ... just speculation and chatter. No reason to get all worked up over it.

Bottom line ... if Hicks hadn't gone to Knott, it's doubtful that any of that stuff would have been discussed.

Or Lex Cath. LOL

Or Lex Cath. LOL

That wouldn't be in the Mountains where he said he wanted to finish up!
