May 6, 200917 yr Fact, these are not facts, they are opinions. And like I said before, the Lakers will most likely win, I even stated in a previous thread that I would be shocked if it wasn't Cavs-Lakers in the finals, hardly going out on a limb, but it is not fact. I really don't want to look it up but I'm quite certain McGrady has been on a higher seeded team in the first round more than just that one season. As far as your argument about a title contender I don't believe I even touched on that. It is as close to fact as you can get in sports. Plenty of times a team was a higher seed, but was expected to lose. Especially in 4-5 matchups. Remember when Phoenix was a #1 seed? No one thought they would win the championship. And you didn't mention it.
May 6, 200917 yr Battier did a good job on Kobe. He may not stop him from getting his points, but he will make Kobe work for every point he gets. The Rockets will not win this series. As was stated earlier, as awful as the Lakers played, they still had a chance to win. It looked to me like one of those situations where a team had too many days off during the playoffs. I won't be worried about the the Lakers losing this series until the series is actually over and the Rockets have actually won. The cream normally rises to the top in an NBA playoff series, regardless of the seeding. I expect a much better showing from the Lakers tonight.

I thought that at the beginning when the shots weren't falling, and maybe that is the reason for the poor shooting. But, I still didn't like the overall effort and that should have been worked out at some point in the first game. They need to wake up and start playing playoff basketball or prepare to watch Lebron hoist the championship trophy.
