Even if they do meet in the finals Lebron's numbers will more than likely be a little greater than Kobe's just because of the team they play on and what each player's role is. My money is on Kobe though because this will give him a chance to shut everyone up about him and motivate him to release the energy he holds back for the big moments. Lebron didn't do much at all that one year againest the Spurs and the Lakers now are bigger, stronger and faster that the Spurs of then. 1. Lebron has a better team around him this time. 2. Defensively, the Spurs team Lebron faced is significantly better than the 2008-09 Lakers. No surprise that Lebron won. He should have. Two of the biggest criteria in MVP races are team success and stats. Team-wise, the Lakers and Cavs were almost even, but statistically, Lebron trumps Kobe. Stat-wise, D-Wade and Lebron were close, but team success wasn't. LJ had a clear advantage over both guys in one of the two major factors.

May 5, 200917 yr LeBron shot over 48% from the field this season, Kobe shot 46%. LeBron shot 34% from 3 point range, Kobe 35%. I'm not saying you are comparing him to Kobe, but I am, someone who a lot of people "believe" is better than Bron. LeBron gets knocked a lot of his shooting, the numbers don't lie. He has improved his outside shooting tremendously and it has shown. Sure, just because all you catch of him in the highlights is him almost tearing down the rim and shattering the backboard, doesn't mean that's all the kid does. Please don't say Kobe is..............please. LeBron's jump shot has improved tremendously this past season. I do not necessarily look at FG% as the main indicator because LeBron's % last season was very good despite being a poor shooter and more due to the fact he cannot be stopped getting to the rim.

Lebron had lasik (is that right?) surgery. I read an SI article where he said things looked blurry to him up until this year...now he sees everything clearly. He said it was amazing how it opened up his vision on the court. Now, is that not a scary thought? The guy was arguably the best in the league before he could see.:scared:

Well that is true, but I have saw numerous times that LeBron spots up and hit big 3's and nice jumpers.
