Bellevue 7 Lloyd 0

Oh yea! A soph. JV pitcher who came up and in his first Varsity game threw a 4 hit shut out. Your right not very solid at all.

You know what was most impressive about the appearance for the young man was his composure? He hit spots very well and had the D to back him up. However, he never looked rattled or frustrated and for a first appearance, that's unusual. A pat on the back to him!

I agree completely. After a "bad" pitch or a hit, he got right back into it and started throwing strikes again. Great job by Babb

Solid? I really wouldn't call beating a wore out Lloyd team solid. Lloyd had their prom Friday and then they played a SOLID Dixie team. The team Bellevue beat was a Lloyd that was beat to death. I really wouldn't call that solid at all!

Don't take offense to a compliment to Bellevue. Bellevue played a great game, very crisp in the field. Whether Lloyd was tired or not had nothing to do with how well Bellevue played in the field, or how well they hit the ball. If this was a foot race, I'd understand. But it's baseball.

Ok. Lloyd's Addison Brown threw a 1 hit game who is an 8th grader but was pulled out in the last inning after the kid ruined his no hitter. Lloyd's bats were hot against Dixie and was wore out for their second game.

Once again, just because a compliment is given to Bellevue does not mean something negative is being said against Lloyd. Lloyd is a good ball team. Bellevue was better on that day. Give it a rest

Bellevue played a very solid game. Lloyd did not. End of story.

The coaches at Lloyd and Bellevue have a lot of respect for one another and now the season series is 1-1 with both teams dominating the games in which they won. They were each the better team on those days.

Hopefully they get to meet again in the postseason and may the best team on that day win.

Good luck to Bellevue in the finals of the All A and in the Doc Morris.

Really? Is this how Lloyd posters want to handle a loss? Make excuses and give the other team no credit, wow. Have to say I'm disappointed.

The Lloyd people need to figure out you can't have it both ways. They beat Dixie and the Juggs posters are all about claiming the team should move up in the top 10. Five hours later they lose to Bellevue and they are suddenly "beat to death."

Can't have it both ways. I didn't see any Dixie posters claim the game was too early in the morning, their kids had the sniffles, or anything else. They simply congratuled Lloyd and moved on.

Very well said!

With all due respect to the Lloyd faithful, yes your team started out 8-0 which was indeed a great accomplishment even if they were playing teams such as Villa, Walton, St. Henry, Ect... but they are now 9-5 when playing their tougher part of the schedule against a couple Louisville teams and some good NKY teams. My point is you cant expect to get much respect when your not beating the better teams around here. Do I think they can beat them? Yes I do but until they do and start doing it on a regular bases your just not gonna be ranked in the top 5 of the region.

Rule 13

Just to prove my point a little further Lloyds 9 wins are against teams with a combined record of 33-70 (according to KHSAA). There 5 Losses are against teams with a combined record of 40-32.

Sandman you are right one person does not speak for all the Lloyd faithful. I was there at the 12:30 game Saturday afternoon and yes Lloyd played well and Dixie had a bad showing. Granted Lloyd had there prom however, they are all young and should have rebounded with the win against Dixie at Dixie they should have had the adrenaline flowing. Take nothing from Bellevue good coaching staff and players and soundly beat a Lloyd team. Lloyd will have its ups and downs like everyone else. Good Luck to Bellevue in the final game they deserve to be there. JD
