April 19, 200917 yr Unlike Milton, most people in baseball have enough tact and class not to trash a player in the media. The fact that, in spite of having a ton of ability, Milton Bradley has been with 7 teams in his 10 year career tells me all I need to know about his character. But hey, I'm glad he's the Cubbies problem instead of the Red Sox. Enjoy the Milton Bradley era in Chicago. It has nothing to do with the player. If it were Lee, or Aramis or anyone with the exact same situation, I'd be in here defending them as well.
April 19, 200917 yr Was there cantact? Whether you want to call it a bump or not was there contact? Which the ump actually initiated accidently, if you had a point, it's a weak one
April 19, 200917 yr And for the record I don't "hate the cubs" I am a Reds fan, but respect the Cubs for providing so much tradition to the game. I'd love to see them win a ring and snap the curse. I'm not a Cubs hater I'm just stating what I think is right.

April 19, 200917 yr I'm not trying to back off anything, I know what I meant to say, and I think you know that I'm more than just some casual baseball fan. And I've said over and over, I have no problem with the ejection, but the suspension is garbage. The ump turned his head and bills hit, IF there was in any contact at all, and I firmly believe the appeal will over turn it. If the Cubs or Bradley didn't feel they had a strong case they'd go ahead and let him serve the suspension since he's hurt any way, but its a matter principal, period. I think it was a really bad call and I understand him being upset but the clip I saw of the incident shows that there was clear contact. This isn't a disliking the Cubs thing--I can't stand Bradley and it doesn't matter who he plays for that won't change. I've not been able to find the clip I saw to watch it again to see if the ump caused the contact or not. However to say that his history shouldn't have anything to do with this incident is just not realistic. The guy has a history of going after umpires and it should play a part in his punishment--providing he caused the contact. If the ump caused the contact then the ejection should be enough.
April 19, 200917 yr Which the ump actually initiated accidently, if you had a point, it's a weak one The ump didn't initiate it. In case you weren't aware intiating is starting something. If Bradley wouldn't of gotten in the umps face or INITIATED an argument he wouldn't of made any contact.
April 19, 200917 yr The ump didn't initiate it. In case you weren't aware intiating is starting something. If Bradley wouldn't of gotten in the umps face or INITIATED an argument he wouldn't of made any contact. So if you get in my space and I strike you, then you should go to jail for assault?
April 19, 200917 yr Who was struck? That comparing apples to pianos. I was just saying this mythological bump was striking
April 19, 200917 yr Come on Rocket, I don't really know why you are trying to sit here and defend this guy who is known as a bad apple around baseball. If he wasn't wearing a Cubs uni you wouldn't have said a word.

I thought the guy was a psycho when he tore his ACL, but in this situation, the wrong he did was MINIMAL.
April 19, 200917 yr Ok, let's call it a bump. If we were at a place of employment I was upset by something you did and blew up on you and got in your face then yes I should be punished. But just so that you are aware you once again brought in hypotheticals.
April 19, 200917 yr This is the only video I see... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090417&content_id=4307898&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc&vkey=news_chc

You are arguing he didn't bump him when you have just as much proof as the people that are saying he did bump him. Your track record does matter(Milton not you). :idunno:
