April 17, 200917 yr I agree that there is a distinct difference between the two. What other "choices" besides the right to having an abortion does someone who is "pro-choice" advocate for? I have never heard a pro-choicer refer to anything other than choosing to have abortion when they are debating their side. Hence, if A=B and B=C, then A must also equal C. That's why I always associate pro-choice with pro-abortion.

A person that is pro-abortion feels abortion is a good thing, and something that is the right thing to do no matter the situation. (How anyone can truly believe this is beyond my realm of comprehension, but these people do exist.) A person that is pro-choice feels that it is the individuals right to choose what to do in their individual situation. Someone can say that they would never in their right mind have an abortion under any circumstance, however they don't feel that the government should be able to dictate whether someone can.
