April 15, 200917 yr He's 2 for 2! Lets keep track throught the season. Do you think he'll make the century mark? Thats 2 through 6 games played which only equates to about 53 steals if he never gets thrown out or misses another game. He better pick it up! :sssh:
April 16, 200917 yr Author Not a chance that he reaches 100. I'd put the over/under number at 55. It sure is a far stretch lol
April 16, 200917 yr It sure is a far stretch lol 55 or better would still be a heck of a year. His on base percentage will be much more important to the Reds this season than his stolen base total.
April 16, 200917 yr I love what Willy has brought to the table this year. He went 2/3 again tonight, although he didn't steal any bases. Didn't Taveras spell his name with only 1 "L" when he first broke into the majors? Could've sworn it used to be Wily Taveras.

Now that I think about it yes I do believe... heck it might still be that way... :ohbrother:

April 16, 200917 yr Author Not that this has anything to do with anything but all this thinking made me remember Willie Green. Anyone remember him?
April 16, 200917 yr Not that this has anything to do with anything but all this thinking made me remember Willie Green. Anyone remember him? "Wee" Willie Greene? The guy had a ton of power, he just didn't put the ball in play enough. He did hit them a long way when he hit them. Never seemed to have the work ethic to make it though.

April 16, 200917 yr How fast is he really? Watched him hit a triple and he was scootin' aruond the bases. He wasn't as fast as I had anticipated, though. A good baserunner with good speed can go a long way... I'd love to know his 60' time.
