Rick Bolus New KY HS rankings

I definately agree with this statement. Polson is deceptively athletic. He will lull you to sleep, then blow by and finish at the rim. In my opinion his ball skills are better than any of the guards on the Bolus list. He is an absolute majician with the basketball. He single handidly had the quickness of Louisville Central on their heals the entire game in the sweet 16 semis.

I would take Justice's ball skills, but Polson have great body control.

I think Robbie Stenzel should be on there, maybe drop Euton or Sewell.

This depends on whether we are discussing high school career or college potential.

I think when all is said and done, Stenzel and Sewell will have similar high school careers but if you are talking about college potential I don't think it's even close. Although Stenzel has nice shooting range and is certainly an excellent player, Sewell can get to the hole and finish much better and is much, much stronger and I think the strength issue is what will seperate the two in college.

Stenzel is a much better shooter and ball handler though as well.

Remember though, Sewell played the post until he was a freshman and never handled the ball so he has only had 2-3 years to really focus on his ball handling. He has made a lot of progress in this area and I think he still has a lot of room to improve.

He already has at least eight offers from mid-majors and that list will probably expand after this summers' AAU circuit.

Justice does have very good ball skills. First time I saw him play was as a fifth grader. I don't think his ball skills are any better than Polson's.
Zollo borderline low D-1..... He is just a Sophomore and played this past season coming off a broken leg. You were defending Trevor Setty in another thread being able to play at Oak. State as a walk on with Travis Ford, saying he needs to hit the weight room and get stronger.

Do you not think that Zollo is going to get stronger and better in the next two years of high school?

You think Trevor can play at Oak. State and Zollo is borderline D-I....have to disagree with you there.

Trevor is WALKING ON to OK St. He will not be on scholarship. Zollo could be a walk on at a major D-1 team and at some point could become a contributor to a major D-1 team. I just don't see him being an impact player on the major college level. He does have time to improve and could prove me wrong. I hope he does, I have nothing against the kid.

The biggest difference between Trevor and Vinny is that Trevor has one thing that he does extremely well. He can flat shoot the ball. Vinny does several things well (rebound and defend along with others) but no part of his game is as good as Trevors shooting. Vinny does have the size and time to improve.

We are obviously both biased, but that is just my opinion.

Sewell is proof that ball handleing skills can be developed. Two years ago he could barely dribble. This past weekend he had no problem with the ball, taking it hard to the hole, left and right. Very impressive and very strong.

I also want to promote two very strong players, Tim Henderson and Orlando Rutledge. You never here anything about them because of the schools they attend, Christian Academy and Fern Creek. If these palyers were out in the state they would be on the top of everybody lists.

When it comes to Setty and Zollo I am not the least bit biased and can tell you Zollo is a much better college prospect than Setty. Zollo can do a whole lot more. I don't know if Zollo will go to UK, but if he stays healthy and keeps improving he will easily be a big D-1 player.

I agree with you.Vinny will play big time D-I.

Being a better college prospect is one thing, but that doesn't mean he will be a Major D-1 player. Zollo may be able to do more than Setty, but he doesn't do anything as well as Setty shoots.

I don't think Zollo will end up at UK. He may end up at a bigger school, but he won't be anything more than a role player in my mind. That is, unless he greatly improves, which is possible.

Feel like Vinny brings more to the table. He is already 6'9 and still growing. He is a beast on the boards and yes he is a good shooter, down low and the 3. He is strong, will get stronger and will be able to bang with the big boys and that is where Trevor is lacking on the college level.

Vinny does need to work on his foot speed. But just being a Sophomore, he has 2 years to improve even more.

I wish both of these young men the best at the next level. Always glad to see 10th region players do well. :thumb:

Zollo is just a sophmore, he has a lot of time to get better and he already has a big body. He may never play at UK but he will log some serious time at a good D-1 school. Setty, can definitely shoot, but if he hasn't gotten bigger since high school he will not see very many minutes for Oklahoma State and I understand he is only a walk-on. His brother will be the better D-1 player, maybe he is the real Oklahoma State target. But as Sunrise said good luck to all 10th region kids, wherever they continue there careers.
