March 24, 200917 yr Now that the high school season is done. Where will the top players in Kentucky be playing this summer? Who will have the better AAU teams?
March 24, 200917 yr We will see in the coming weeks on what each team has for this year, but then there could be some tinkering with the rosters from now until the state AAU tourney in mid May. Team Ky has both Newsomes from Shelby Valley, I will reveal more after we have our practice this weekend.
March 24, 200917 yr Author I was told that Derek Smith picked up Timmy Knipp from Elliott who played with Indiana Elite last year and Remy Abell from Easter High School. He will play on their 16u team with Robbie Stenzel. I was also told that Chad Jackson, Josh Sewell and Austin Flannery who played with OBC last year, Dylan McDaniel from New Albany Indiana and the big man from Lexington Christian Will Evans have joined the Shining Star 17u team that won the state tourney last year. Can anyone confirm?
March 24, 200917 yr How about the KY Players, doesnt Pittman, R Johnson and Gelawn Guyn all play for them? If so they sound pretty tough.
March 24, 200917 yr Author I was told at the state tourney by some of the Holmes fans that Rico, JJ and Elijiah will be playing with Queen City Prophets out of Cincinnati.

We decided yesterday that we need to hold a day of practice first, see who we got and all, we may even have two teams this year. We will start our season the following week.

March 25, 200917 yr Shining Stars 17 will include holdovers Gabbard & Earls (Boone) and Kowolonek (Highlands) ...Nichols (Ryle) just backed off the squad. Additions include Coleman (Ryle), Jackson & Flannery (Scott Co.) and Tackett worked his way onto the coaching staff. I believe a 6'10" player joined on, not sure from where. Euton is headed to play for a Wisconsin team leaving his marriage to Jackson for the high school season only.........
