It will not matter what Boone County does. Everyone in Northern Kentucky knows they are playing for the #5 seed in the District. Conner has the best young coach in the area, according to everyones beliefs and they have all that great talent back from last year. Ryle has a tremendous amount of talent as they always do. Simon Kenton has Miles Simpson and they beat Boone in the Playoffs last year. Campbell County throws the ball so as everyone knows Boone can't stop the pass. It makes me wonder one thing, when was the last time Boone County lost a district game during the regular season?

I would hope not. Boone County will be right in the middle of what is going to be an absolute dogfight in 6A this year. This will clearly the most competitive district in NKY in 2009. Hard to imagine that one them (Ryle, BC, Conner, SK, or CC) will not qualify for the playoffs. There is a very good chance that it might come down to a tiebreaker for the last playoff spot, which is why I'm not a big fan of Ryle scheduling two games with Highlands.

Oh, I agree. But that is one huge "if"!! And, honestly, even if it weren't such a difficult opponent, I still just don't like playing the same opponent twice in the same season.

I dont see it happening even though its always tough to beat a good team twice in one season. Ryle will be in the thick of the 6A race as well.

 

I agree with cooperstown, the 6A race will be a dogfight. Ryle has several returnign skilled players, BC has the always tough running game, SK has Miles and are coming off state runnerup and Conner has the QB phenom and some nice receivers.

Last year Boone was alos underrated I believe the Rebels will turn a few heads again this year!!:thumb:
