March 27, 200917 yr Good Luck this weekend RC Hurricanes! Spindoc keep us informed during the weekend. The old Hurricanes will be lucky to play more than 3 games this weekend. High School coach of our most athletic player told him he'd "rather he didn't play AAU" so there goes that one. One of our leading scorers is in Fla. playing JV baseball. Biggest kid from last year is gone, and our newest big is struggling to get over a rolled ankle. Old Hurricanes better shoot it well this weekend to have any chance at any victories.:thumb: Good luck to all of the teams! And good luck to all of those playing in the Ville this weekend.:ylsuper:

March 28, 200917 yr Hurricanes lost first one by 8. 66-58. Had 3 foul out and only brought 7. Still should have won. Had every opportunity. Went a sub-Shaq like 16-35 from the line.:eyeonyou: Tri-State went 21-27 from the line. Now gotta get up at the crack of dawn to take another stab. Tough when you're without 2 of your grade exceptions.

With this being an AAU sanctioned event, were birth certs and exception forms checked? A lot of times it just depends on the makeup of the team. If the team is truly Div 1 and gets kids from a 2-3 hour radius, they could be legit. We get that a lot with our team. But, that will happen when you have a 13 year old dunking the ball. :ylsuper:

Same kids with one new one this year. Their center hasn't grown in 2 yrs.. He was that tall then, and the point guard the same. I doubt that they have any kids that aren't legit by AAU guidelines. We lost to them by 6 to finish 4th yesterday. We were terribly short handed without 2 of our grade exceptions there and the game before our PG rolled his ankle and we played with 6. With our full complement, we win handily IMO. We get TheVille in our pool this coming weekend, and they'd have beaten that team by 40.
March 31, 200917 yr Cincy Future and Midwest Hoops Elite were in the 14U final. Don't know who won, however, I thought Midwest was the better team.
March 31, 200917 yr Indy Ice won the U13 division. They had two teams in the tournament, their D1 team won the championship and they were not tested. Very impressive and athletic.
April 2, 200917 yr Cincy Future and Midwest Hoops Elite were in the 14U final. Don't know who won, however, I thought Midwest was the better team.Cincy Future won by 16 points,led by Christian McClendon and Austin Grimes with 16 each.
