sorry for the delay in responding. 32nd makes no sense to me. You have Grant and Williamstown, but you hop over Owen to pick up Gallatin and Carroll.

 

In 29 and 30, take Anderson and Trimble and switch them.

 

That's about it.

 

 

 

Why? Anderson is over and hour drive on a bus to the Oldham schools. Spencer, Shelby and Eminence are all a lot closer.

 

 

Actually what makes the most sense is dropping the Northern schools and adding the Franklin County Schools. Not sure exactly how districting would work, but this seems to be the most logical way IMO.

They have to at least revisit it; not necessarily do a radical realignment. There are too many new schools opening and old schools consolidating to think that things can never change.

I'm with you now. I can understand revisting or re-evaluating the districts ever four years. I just wasn't following HDE's comments about the districts having to be changed.

I am a nut, that is a good description! I did them a favor and move them out of the 6th and into the 5th! Louisville is a seperate entity all to itself! I thought about putting Anderson Co with the Franklin Co schools and Shelby with the 3 Oldhams! But I thought that might look bad.

As discussed in an earlier thread if we are truly concerned about the student athlete this cuts down on the travel during week night games. Plus it is called a district for a reason, to keep teams close geographically this is good. However I do agree with the districts being loaded but the same could be said for some regions as well. Its great to hear all of the opinions either way.

Like Redsfan said, what are you gonna do? Should we take a few 16th and 15th Region schools and swap them with some from the 11th and 7th to balance things out competitively?

No... I agree. You split it up Geographically. You COULD put Shelby in with Henry/Eminence/Carroll and leave Trimble in with the Oldhams. That would help some (and Shelby is much closer to Henry the Oldham anyway...) I would move Spencer to the 7th.

No... I agree. You split it up Geographically. You COULD put Shelby in with Henry/Eminence/Carroll and leave Trimble in with the Oldhams. That would help some (and Shelby is much closer to Henry the Oldham anyway...) I would move Spencer to the 7th.

Personally, I like Sportsmaniac's idea for the 30th. Anderson and Shelby need to stay in the same district IMO. Either way get ready for something to happen, because it sounds like re-districting WILL happen. We will know something by May...
