There is really no reason to send 3 schools from the second region to the first region. Send 2 to cover the consolidation, whenever that occurs. I dont think they have started construction on the new school?? Also, Caldwell County's super is now on the board of control so when all this happens, Caldwell will not remain with Madisonville and Hopkins Co. Central. They will return to the 5th district with Trigg Co., Crittenden Co., and one other school. Probably Dawson Springs. It will be interesting to see who will go to the 2nd Region. And also where they come from.

I meant the 4 schools in McCracken County which would include St Mary's, Community Christian, McCracken County and Tilghman.

This is my personal take on it:

First Region

1st: Carlisle County, Fulton City, Fulton County, Hickman County

2nd: Ballard Memorial, McCracken County, Paducah Tilghman, Paducah Community Christian

3rd: Calloway County, Graves County, Mayfield, Murray

4th: Christian Fellowship, Livingston Central, Marshall County, St. Mary

 

Second Region

5th: Caldwell County, Dawson Springs, Lyon County, Trigg County

6th: Crittenden County, Henderson County, Union County, Webster County

7th: Hopkins County Central, Madisonville-North Hopkins, McLean County, Muhlenberg County

8th: Christian County, Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville, University Heights

 

 

 

The 1st Region currently has 17 teams, but will have only 15 once McCracken County is formed. One team has to come from the 2nd Region, and Livingston Central or Lyon County are the natural choices on proximity. I chose Livingston Central due to fit with the Marshall County schools and St. Mary. St. Mary is at current not in a district with the Paducah schools, so I don't think it matters if they still aren't. You'd have to split up the Calloway schools if you didn't use St. Mary

 

The 2nd Region currently has 15 teams and will have 14 once it loses one of the schools to the 1st Region. I chose McLean County and Muhlenberg County becase of a natural fit with the Hopkins County schools. I could alternately see Todd County Central, which has history with the region, albeit as a member of the Christian County district. If Todd County Central came, McLean would stay in the 3rd Region. I think there is no doubt that when this happens, Muhlenberg County is moving in.
