Fantastic venue for the 9th and 10th finals. I heard the lower bowl held 5,000 so they had to have at least 8,000 paid between both sessions. As full as it was for the 2nd game, keep in mind a lot of Mason and GRC folks had already left. I know the 9th is looking to repeat the championship game there for next year. I'm not sure if they will draw the same crowd without the 10th being there.

I just hope the 9th continues to have success at the BOK and when it comes around for the 37th district out of the 10th region to choose venues they work out the same deal they did this year and there is another exciting double header.

Don't believe the coaches make this decision.

Coaches and administrators decide whether they want to switch officials with another region.

Pros:

- College court preps players for Rupp.

- Comfortable seats.

- Plenty of parking.

- great experience for players

- intro's for the final

 

Cons/Suggestion for improvement:

- for the 9th region, a program of some sort would've been nice

- get all the kinks worked out before the tourney (scoreboard)

- i'd agree on the general admission for all but finals. And for the finals, designate a side for each team and ask the ticket buyer which team they are with.

- lower ticket price for students

Will the Ninth and or the BOKC make an official fan count available to the general public? I along with a lot of folks are eagerly waiting to see the numbers. Even without know the official numbers, there is no doubt the event was the largest HS tourney held in the history of the Ninth Region and I just wonder in any region.

 

You know a lot of States would love to have the attendance of what our Regional Tournament was, for their State Championships games!

 

Stand up and take a bow Bank of Kentucky Center, NKU, Ninth and Tenth Region officials, refs, coaches, teams, cheerleaders, managers, bands and a huge tip of the hat to you the fans of High School Basketball. It was a great week of fun, excitment, and thrills. I for one can't wait until next year.

It's the coaches call.

Arena was great - I think I would abandon the idea of importing 16th region referees next year. I don't want officials to determine an outcome of a game, but I would like to see them apply the rules. I'm funny that way.

 

I was going to say the exact same thing. I don't mind the idea of importing officials, but I was very disappointed with the 16th region officials. I would rather have our own officials than the 16th regions
