2009 John Hardin

Featured Replies

What does John Hardin need to do to improve in 2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Graduate too many to really improve in '09 or '10. 2011 will produce maybe the best JH team of all time...and they've had some pretty decent teams.

They did lose alot of talent but I think they can make it to the playoffs.

I would hope that could get past Iroquois or Waggener and get in.

I think they will win the district, although Bullitt Central will likely be their biggest challenge. I don't see Doss being at the top this time around. I think John Hardin can probably get past the best of District 4, too, most likely being Anderson County or Oldham County.

What I don't think they can do is win at Bowling Green, Owensboro, Christian County, etc. to advance to the state finals. Not this year, anyway.

I completely agree. Im looking at this being a rebuilding season for John. I still think they will be at the top of there district this year. I'm just worried about the defense. I dont know how they'll hold up without coach Gregory being the defensive coordinator.

Word on the street is that one of their starting linebackers has transferred to North Hardin. Tough break. 5-6, 6-5, something like that. Rebuilding is the focus.

Yes that is true. Alik Rucker transfered to North Hardin. I would put them at a 7-3 mark. Their still the heavy favorite to win their district. Its still going to be a tough season for them though...

John Hardin is going to be a tuff team, but I think Doss may give them a run for the district though!!!

Oldham County and Anderson County will both be good; Oldham may well be better than last year if a couple of kids come through. I'm not sure I see a clear favorite in this region yet. Maybe by week 5 we'll have a clearer picture.

I don't see JH missing the playoffs this year, though...

I agree. John Hardin lost alot of talent from last year so you cant really call them the favorite anymore. The door is open for many teams this year. I wish the best for the Bulldogs though...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bullitt Central sweep in and win the district and region. What could be really important is whoever wins District 3 (John Hardin, Bullitt Central, Doss, Iroquois, Waggener); that district winner will have home field advantage during the first three rounds of the playoffs.

Good point. The region title game was played at Oldham last year... I'm not sure who BC has coming back, but they were a solid team last year. If they have a lot of returnees, they could be the team to beat.

Its going to be interesting. :sssh:

5-6? 6-5? That is crazy........JH is loaded and I fully anticipate them making a strong push toward BG. You talk about their loss at LB but word on the street is they had a stud RB transfer in from Alabama.

Now that is some good news. Im sure this new RB will compliment Landon Savoy very well. I just hope the rumor is true...
