Good grief , what a match up ! East v Rowan-what a rematch !

Lewis Co. v Ashland who has been steady all year- Lewis with a truck load of seniors that never quit ! Lewis lost to Ashland earlier by 9 I think.

Elliott Co. v Fleming Co. Fleming Co. lost bad the first time, but have improved and won't roll over quite as easy in this one.

Boyd Co. v Russell, lost by 3 earlier, Russell avenged two earlier losses to take the 63rd and will leave it all on the floor !

Rowan Co. has to be the favorite, but your crystal ball better be the real deal to pick all these games right !:idunno:

They'll be playing at Weatherby on Tuesday as MSU will be hosting and OVC tourney game. That's a good problem to have though :thumb:

I don't understand why you would want to see Rowan in the finals since they beat Elliott rather easy. Why not Ashland who Elliott beat easy or East Carter who Elliott has already beaten 3 times this season.

I like to see the best teams in the region playing on the last dance. Elliott is really just achieving their peak now. I believe a match up between Elliott and Rowan would demonstrate the abilities/capabilities Elliott has reached (at the right time might I add) in the post-season.

My predictions for the first round

 

Ashland over Lewis co. by 11

Rowan co. over East by 15

Russell over Boyd co. by 4

Elliott co. over Fleming co. by 16

 

Semifinals

 

Rowan over Ashland by 3

Elliott co. over Russell by 14

 

Finals

Elliott co. over Rowan co. by 2

I assume you believe Rowan to be the best defensive team in one bracket (which I agree with) but what is the second best defensive team of the 16th region in the other bracket? IMO, the defenses of Russell, Boyd, Elliott, or Fleming are not that intimidating.

After watching all of the teams in the lower bracket recently I'm thinking Russell is the most improved. I'm sure they are on the defensive end. their only question mark is shooting. Sometimes they do not shoot well.

You can't seriously think Russell is better than East defensively!!! I would say the 2 best defensive teams are playing each other in the first game of the tournament!!!

Rowan and East Carter will be the best first round game. Also, Rusell and Boyd could get interesting. Don't underestimate Lewis, as they will have the biggest crowd the first night.

Very well put. You have to beat the best to be the best. I beleave the lady lions can hang with anyone.
