A very telling stat imo. Kind of reminds of a team like Memphis from last season. Highly ranked all season, record setting year but the easiest way to gets points does them in. Hopefully EC can cure their free-throw shooting woes before their date in Morehead next week.

 

GR, for the Faulkners to be such good shooters-especially in their midrange game-why do you think they are below-average Free Throw shooters?

In watching I get them mixed up but one needs better balance (spread feet just a little more) The other one sometimes watches the flight of the ball which is not a good thing needs to to keep head still when shooting. JMO

Who made all tournament ?

Both Faulkner's Knipp and Ferguson, Barnhill, Kawada, Jackson, Rayburn, B.A. Oney, and 1 more from West and 2 from Morgan. No MVP the 62nd does not do that.

I am not being critical of them or questioning their ability to be a premier team in the state, but look at what happened to Memphis last season. They were up 9 with two minutes to go and lost the National Title game in OT. Had they made their free ones when they had the chance they would have been crowned the National Champs. You have to make free throws to beat the really good teams.

Elliott is a really good FT shooting team. They just had an off night tonight. That's what I meant.

I understand what you're saying, I guess that every team has their good and bad nights in any aspect of the game. Heck, Tim Tebow threw two interceptions in the National Title game and still led the Gators to victory. Not saying this performance will carry over to the Regional tournament, just saying if a night like tonight happens during the third week of March, there may be some problems. :thumb:

They are ALL 70% plus shooters. Tonight was a fluke. They've made FT's all season.

Elliott was up 31 in the 3d quarter and the game was never in doubt. They really didn't play like their capable of playing. If EC had played like they did against Ballard they would have been up 51 in the 3d quarter. BigSpikes prediction of 98-54 is what it should have been. Not complaining by no means because they clearly dominated the game. On a scale from 1 to 10 with the Ballard game being a 9 this was a score of 6. Anderson a score of 4.Shelby Valley and Cedar Hills would get a score of 2. Hopefully those last two are long out of the system now.

 

Congrads Boys on 4 straight district championships and now the quest for 3 straight 16th region crowns begins.

Great job boys, couldnt make it tonight due to being sick; but I was listening. Im excited for the draw tomorrow..... Lets make it 3 Regional tournys in a role and end with a state championship!!!!
