NKY Regular Season Stat Leaders

Featured Replies

Bryan's a PG, 4th in assists, and everyone knows his scoring, how can a reguard for Smith being the best PG next year be clearified? Kids in the district and region are already talking about next year, how their going to be scared to see his stats!

Thing that surprised me the most was that there were 3 Boone Co. players on the steals list, thats amazing shows what kind of scrappy defense they play, and thats what gives them the edge over Holmes.

So because Boone has more players in the steals category that gives them an edge over Holmes? I'd say a lot of that has to do with Boone being a team who presses a lot, wheras Holmes has relied on tough half court defense for the majority of the year. Regardless of how many steals Boone has they still give up the same amount of ppg as Holmes at 47.

It's somewhat ridiculous to compare teams based on individual stats.

Bryan is not going to get the credit he probably deserves on the high school level. The perception is that he gets his stats against a relatively soft schedule. While he puts up a lot of points he also puts up a lot of shots to get those points. He does not shoot a high percentage from the field, from three or from the free throw line.

I think he is viewed more as a scoring guard than a true PG. He is a unique player in a situation at Villa where he has to do an awful lot for that team to be competitive.

Boone has not pressed a lot this year.

Maybe they have the edge over Holmes, because they've already beaten them once????:

Guess we'll find out here in about a week. :thumb:

I don't have a dog in the fight, but I'm looking forward to the 9th and 10th region games!

Villa's schedule this year was actually pretty tough compared to the past and they still finished with the 2nd best record in school history.

12-16 is second best in their history? Not knocking them, just seems they've had better years, but again, I guess they haven't been around all that long in comparison to some schools:idunno:

when talking scoring it be interesting to know what type of % is shot. The attempts would probably be pretty high for some.

Pittman was the third leading scorer in nky with 427 points and shot 56% from the field. (156-277)

Thought this was interesting, enjoy!

Interesting to see Junior Jacob Reiger's name showing up in so many categories. Especially with the offense they run out there. I'm also shocked not to see Sophmore Kellen Smith's name not show up in points scored too. Seemed like every time I saw him he was scoring double figures.
