racer4life Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Looks like the Raiders are coming on strong at the right time. Congrats on the win.
16thBBall Fan Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Game was not as close as final score. East was in control from mid-way thru the 1st qt. East was up around 25 when subs came in Ashland left starters in and pressed to get to the final. But after first 5 minutes game was never really in doubt. Good win for the Raiders!
"old"shooter Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Ashland will be happy to see Russell on Friday night.
16thBBall Fan Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Ashland will be happy to see Russell on Friday night. Not a good two nights against the two Carter County schools.
MBWC41 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Ashland will be happy to see Russell on Friday night. Didn't Russell beat Ashland earlier this year ?
spindoc Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 It looked more like a tug of war in the middle tonight. To say "they let them play" is mild.

HOOKSHOT Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Ashland will be happy to see Russell on Friday night. They just may be. But I wouldn't bet the farm on this one either !:idunno:
MSUEagles Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 East is going to be a tough first round game for Elliott County - especially at home.
EC12 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 IMO the Elliott and East game is going to be a dandy!
ballbrain Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 It looked more like a tug of war in the middle tonight. To say "they let them play" is mild. Had to be one of the most physical games I have ever seen at the High School level.
ballbrain Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 East is the real deal, they will be a tough out for anybody early on. They sub well and at the right time, with decent depth. Good size and strength don't hurt them any either!

lilj Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Listened to the game on the radio and sounded like Barnhill did whatever he wanted to throughout the first half. I dont believe anyone in the region has the post defense to stop him when he receives the ball.
