As Qryche said earlier I've been at a wedding reception all night, but now that I'm in for the night, let me congratulate the Lions on the big win. Very impressive. I'd gladly consider you one of the top 5 teams in the state right now and possibly top 3 (behind Holmes and SC of course ). Jk guys but I would put you ahead of Ballard, J'town, and Eastern.

Not much left to say after Lion Mania's excellent post. That sums up a fantastic senior class! Allow me to thank Ballard for joining us for this game. The players and fans showed class and sportmanship making for one of the best evenings of high school basketball I have ever been privileged to watch. These teams put on a show. The first quarter was probably one of the best I have ever seen and then the battle was on for the rest of the game. Timmy Knipp answered many questions tonight. He more than held his own on the inside defensively and rebounded well. Jacob Ison has developed into the inside sub Elliott really needed to give Knipp some breathers. The Faulkners applied some big time pressure to Ballard's guards (who can flat out play) and also handled heavy defensive pressure quite well, and Ferguson was on fire. What is sometimes overshadowed by his outside shooting is his strength and ability to score inside as well. This was a great atmosphere for a high school game that will be remembered around here for many years.

Thanks Eta and glad we have won you over. What one must remember though is that things can change very quickly. I remember several games we stunk the building up. But, of course some other top teams have had their bad games also. Here's hoping the top teams of Scott County, Holmes, Shelby Valley, and whoever comes out of the 7th (IMO Ballard) bring their A game because the fans will be in for some kind of show next month in Rupp and some great basketball like we saw last night. If the top teams get to Rupp there will be some talent on the floor for sure and the Greatest Show in Hoops will be on display in its best. Good luck to Holmes and here's hoping we both get to Saturday morning for a fantastic game that will have the fan's buzzing.

Good win Elliott. It would have been better if you would have played your 2 good opponents for the week on a neutral or visiting floor. Both teams had to travel out of their region to the 16th to a packed Sandy Hook gym and hostile territory.

I have watched about all the better teams in the state this season and if there's any better guards than the Faulkners and Justice from Shelby Valley then I don't know where they're at. Sanford from Lex Cath is also a very good guard. And also if there's any better shooter than Ferguson ,then I haven't seen him either. :taz::taz::taz:
