What are everyone's thoughts and predictions?

I think it will be a good one. Holmes is always tough at home. Its just according to which Hazard team shows up to play. They have looked like two different teams all year long. I'm going with Holmes by 10 but if Hazard shows up to play then it could be a tight one.

Holmes has to get by Dixie tomorrow and Highlands Friday, first.:thumb:

I'll have a prediction tomorrow after I see how they rebound against Dixie after the close game with Scott.

If you ask me, I'd like Holmes to lose at least one game before the regular season is over because I think it will be a good thing for them. Last year, this loss came in the form of NCC and it seemed to wake them up and motivate them as they took care of everyone else the rest of the year in convincing fashion. It led them to the state championship where they just fell short of their goal.

A loss can be a good thing for them as sometimes it can lead to think you are better than you are and that could come back to bite you in the post-season. But back on topic, Holmes should take care of business regardless which Hazard shows up as they just have more talent, size, and athletic ability.

I think this will be closer than most think, Hazard may even pull off the upset.

Doubtful. Hazard doesn't have the athleticism or length defensively to knock off Holmes. They also lost one of their top 2 players, in 6'4 Campbell, midway through the season as he quit to focus on football.

Holmes should take care of business in this one and win by 15-20. Expect Pittman to have a big game and R. Johnson to have a big game.

Lets worry about Dixie and Highlands before we get to far ahead of ourselves... I have said that if a loss is going to occur it will be along the 3 game stretch with Highlands, Hazard, and Boone. I don't think that is going to occur now after the Scott scare, I think Holmes will be focused on each opponent from here on out. I don't know how we got this far ahead, Hazard still has 2 games prior to the Holmes game too.

Holmes in a romp. 20+

Hazard can't compete with the quickness of Holmes, can't match them on the boards, and aren't that great of a scoring team (59 ppg). In my opinion, keeping it under 15 would be a "win" for this Hazard team.
