I agree. Wins over teams like Silver Grove, Villa, Bellevue, and Ludlow are nice but not games to judge that they can all of a sudden play with Newport.

Nothing really...I'm just being a bit of a homer.

 

The reason that I THINK it will be a close game is from what I hear, Newport has the reputation of palying lazy D and I believe that if they give this Dayton team a chance to get hot from the outside it will be a close game.

 

I am also banking on Newport overlooking Dayton to an extent and thinking that they have a walk into the finals.

 

It could very easily go the way that everyone else is predicting (Newport by double digits), but I truly believe it will be a close game.

Dayton has beat Lloyd and if I recall Dayton has beaten them so thats why I think they can. So is that enough for you to have any hope???:fight:

Actually Newport and Lloyd split, each winning at home.

 

With Newport at home against Dayton...I don't see it being much of a game.

Newport has been playing to the level of their competition. However, I think they pull this one out on their home court, 67-60. I saw a score the other day and Newport barely beat some small school. Was it Heritage they had trouble with??

Yes it was Heritage that they had a little trouble with and Dayton plays very similar to Heritage...only better. They both shoot a lot of threes and like to get up and down the court.

Does anyone know when the games are tonight? I was assuming 6 and 8, but I'm not sure.

The games tonight are 6pm Newport VS Dayton and 8pm NCC VS St Henry.

Both games should be good ones to watch.

Yes they had trouble with them, but they still won by 14 points. I don't expect Newport to play "bad" two games in a row...
