January 30, 200917 yr Watford is overrated, from some people I have talked to. I've heard the exact opposite actually from a few people. Very interested in what you've heard about Hood. See if that matches up to what I've heard.
January 30, 200917 yr Watford didn't impress me the three times I watched him this summer. He wasn't nearly as good as Chris Singleton in the same role alongside Favors the year before...
January 30, 200917 yr Probably a little harsh in my quick assessment of Bobby C. Plays in an average high school league, doesn't put up big numbers against not so great competition. Played one really good team locally and got pounded by 40. One high school coach in Cincy told me that IU can do better than him. Now he will may be a decent 4 year player for them, but nothing big time. As for Watford, I just heard his game didn't get all that much better as the summer progressed. I may be confusing him with another, but isn't his dad an influential person on the AAU scene? I think Verdell Jones the IU pg's dad is a player in the Illinois AAU scene, and a lot of coaches smoozed Jones to keep good relations with pops. Once again, I think Crean will get it turned around. As for Hood, his game needs some polish, but he performed very well all summer, and he has put up some decent numbers this year and his team around him is horrible. Will be a nice 4 year player at UK.
