I guess I weren't because I went back and reread the post you quoted and nothing about the number 2 team was mentioned.

 

Elliott Co. may very well blow them out of the gym. Actually if they are as good as the Elliott posters on this board claim then they should have no problem with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. Either way last years game will have no impact on this years contest. Rose Hill has a new cast of players and coaches.

I believe the name of the opponent will remind them of getting knocked off last year, and give them more focus. Considering it wasnt a situation of a team blatantly running up the score or taunting, I agree there is no revenge motive. You both have points somewhat, which makes me hate you both;)! Dale, finally a voice of reason. I think Elliott is a big favorite but I like you think it is scary to see how over confident Elliott's fans are and it has been mentioned that there were similar predictions this time last year.

Kinda makes you want to :puke: doesn't it. I think Elliott is a mature, veteran team that would be ready to play come Friday regardless. To imply that a blowout is coming because of last year is off base, imho.

Elliott has no more intense, or dedicated fan than I am. Do I believe in them...Yes! Should they win ...Yes! I also know that anything can happen, and that is what worries me! Example: Last year I was sitting at Bath and someone says you look nervous...are you worried or somethin? I said sure am all it takes is one bad game. This dude sitting a few feet over says...Elliott can play absolutely terrible and they will still win by 20. 15-20 minutes later I look over and his face is ghostly white and his chin is on the bleachers underneath his feet!!!!!!!!!!
