January 20, 200917 yr BJ probably will want to keep it standing, but don't forget that BJ has very good jiu jitsu as well. Yes he does but it seems that lately GSP has been able to control everyone on the ground with his wrestling. For not coming from a wrestling background he is outstanding at it. His takedowns are strong and very explosive. That combined with his size I think could give BJ trouble on the ground. GSP knows the BJJ game well enough to avoid submissions but if anyone could sub him right now it would be BJ.
January 20, 200917 yr Anderson Silva could be the one to do that. He is darn near unbeatable right now IMO... I agree, but they don't seem too interested in pushing him in the 205 pound division. Personally, I think that would be the best way to market it...if Silva shreds the LHW division with all the marquee names, it would start to generate more interest from casual observers. Especially with Silva's flair for the dramatic finish. The only drawback is he can't speak much English...however, his skills could transcend that for the most part, IMO. If he could do in 205 what he's done at 185... Personally, I think he could. He'd probably have to work a little harder on average, but there's nobody at 205 that I would favor against Anderson Silva.

January 21, 200917 yr Anyone know the true weight difference in Penn and GSP? Id guess around 20 pounds. Maybe more.
January 21, 200917 yr Silva, The Spider, has a title defense at 185 coming up I believe...Does anybody know anything about the guy he is facing???
January 21, 200917 yr I hope Penn wins. These are two of the best fighters, lb for lb, in the world. I am very excited about this card. A lot of entertaining fighters on it. The Dec. card and this one are two of the better UFC events I've seen in a while. As for Rampage, I think he is back and will demolish Jardine.

January 21, 200917 yr Not sure who I want to win the main event. I like both fighters....although I tend to go back and forth when it comes to BJ. He's a great fighter, but often times his attitude puts me off. I wouldn't mind seeing him hold two belts though....at least until KenFlo beats him at LW. Bummed that John Fitch is not on the main card. I hope we get to see his fight.
January 21, 200917 yr Has anybody been watching the UFC Primetime show about this fight? Its modeled after the HBO 24/7 shows that they do for boxing. First episode was last week and a new one airs tonight. Apparently BJ didnt like how he was portrayed in last weeks episode and has cut off production for the show out in Hawaii.
January 22, 200917 yr GSP wins again I think. I'm really looking forward to the Machida fight Dana said that if Machida wins he is the next opponent for Rashad Evans. If Silva wins he is one fight away from the title shot.
