The reason , as I stated, is pure politics.If it was pure politics, as you say, Bush would have caved to the demands of conservatives and pardoned the border guards immediately. The charge of pure politics playing a role here is ridiculous. Bush has issued far fewer pardons and commutations than either Clinton or Reagan. And as far as I know, Bush has no plans to sell any pardons on his last day in office.

However, there is no question that Bush has been far less sleazy than Clinton (it would have been difficult to have been more sleazy and avoided impeachment), having issued fewer than half the number of pardons and commutations as his predecessor and to my knowledge Bush has sold no pardons.

I wasn't pointing to a particular President. My comment was aimed at the low bar you seemed to be using and once again used.

Do you care to explain why these guys should not be in jail based on the facts of the case and the law or do you, like some others, just base it on the law you WISH would be in place?
