NkuRoyal31
I'd worry about more important things than that. Check the score...this game is over. Without Patterson, this team is in the lower half of a bad SEC. Without Meeks they are, but thats another discussion at another time. 48-28 Uk 12:
NkuRoyal31
There's a reason why they mention Harangoady and Griffin and then say "I'd throw Patterson in that group, as well." No way Patterson is included with those two IMO.

dmderringer10
Without Meeks they are, but thats another discussion at another time. 48-28 Uk 12:53 Without either one of them they are. Without Patterson, teams could play a triangle and 2 with both guys on Meeks and probably get away with it. They would have no other threat to score besides a lay up or free throw. Without Meeks they would just clog the middle because he's the only one that can shoot. You said other player steped their game up during the first half. When in reality they are doing what they have to do to win. There's a big difference between stepping up and doing your job.

Wireman
No way Patterson is included with those two IMO. Is that a joke or are you being serious? I'll take basically every analyst in the nation's opinon on the subject.
NkuRoyal31
And many, many people would disagree with you. And they have the right to because everyone thinks differently. But Patterson in no way dominates like those two do espically Griffin. Pattersons back to the basket isnt going to work in the NBA, he needs to face up and take advantage of those guys who cant stop him but he'll never do it. He's in the same boat as Hansbarough IMO in that the never be more than role players in the league. 56-32 UK 9 to go.

You seem to think Im not saying Patterson isnt good, he is and UK wouldnt be where they are without him but he's not a Griffin and not being mentioned as a top pick by those analyst like the others are

That's a back to the basket player. Have you seen how many jumpers he has made this season. Just about every jumper he takes from the FT line goes in. He has the ability to face up but that's not his role. He has to be the post up presence because UK has on one else with that ability at all. Wireman
In looking at the bigger picture - UK is about to collect its 3rd straight double-digit conference win (2 of those on the road). That is a very impressive start to SEC play.
