I have been saying the same thing even before the season started.

Holmes has beaten 3 of the top 6....Scott Co has beaten 1 of the top 6...Elliott Co has beaten 0 of the top 25 according to Cantrall's ratings...

 

This just goes to show that the ratings mean nothing and are not accurate. Just because they don't beat inferior teams by 50, I guess this hurts their ratings. They have a more competitive schedule than Elliott Co. and have beaten more top teams in the state than any other school. I think everyone knows who the No. 1 team is no matter what the ratings say.

Again, as many have said though, rankings mean absolutely nothing right now, especially ones like the LIT and Cantrall.

 

EC, SC, and Holmes are in a class by themselves IMO, with Holmes probably having a slight advantage over the two.

Hard to take them to serious if you follow High School Basketball real close. As a fan of Grant County, our kids have beaten Simon Kenton and South Oldham head to head, but are still rated below them. We also have a better record than both teams. Doesn't make much sense, but atleast it does give us something to talk about.

 

Maybe it was the one point Ludlow win or the 20+ Holy Cross loss
