Haven't showed you much but they just keep winning.

Wow. I didn't think that this one would be as close. Congrats to both teams. Mason from the W, and Harrison for the showing!

I would say every team in the state would love the expectations that people have of Mason Co. A win is a win is a win.

I love when people say that if this person played well they would have won. Maybe it had something to do with Keith Downing playing defense on Mr. Custard the entire night.

 

I love it almost as much as when Mason lost to Holmes (I believe) and people were saying it was because Downing didnt play. I never said Harrison would have won if Custard and Martin played better, I said it might have been a differnt outcome. I agree Downing shut down Custard.

Mason Co.hasn't played Holmes. They did lose to Highlands the first game of the year.

Correction to my above post. Highlands.

Martin struggled shooting but was in foul trouble most of the game because he was given the matchup of guarding Middleton which he done a good job on until he got in foul trouble. I agree if Martin and Custard came to play today Harrison would of had a much better chance.

Custard was the key for Harrison to win this game. Good defense by the Royals to take him out of his game. Might I add there might of been a little jersey holding going on. The 10th region is in the air as I see it. Anyone can win it.

As so boldly posted in the predictions thread, the Royals won but in a much closer game than most seemed to be thinking. Today's game will be a dogfight.

Any win is good. Mason County's scheduling is brutal. Good luck today.

I'm not sure why everyone seems to think that Custard played bad. I thought he was the best player on the floor TONIGHT. To address the above statement, in my opinion, if u remove one key player from the floor on any team, they play different. Look at how Deming has been performing without Rex Schalch who comes in as the 6th man, Keith Downing was a starter. I will not make any excuses for tonight Royals performance, they didn't play well. Everyone should know that Reitz is a great coach who will have his team prepared and Mason Co will get everyone's best game. They must come prepared to play no matter who the opponent is. Tonight I just don't think that happened.

I agree. Custard was clearly the best player on the floor. But with the Royals strong defense he wasn't able to get anything done scoring wise. He amazes me with his ability to see the floor. In my opinion he should be in talks as one of the best point guards in the state.

Downing was on Custard much of the time, but it looked to me like Hamm was matched up against him quite a bit also.

I didn't say he was the best player overall, just for that particular game. The overall best player would have to be Russ Middleton. But Friday nights game wasn't one of Russ's best.
