Giwa had a big game... HC got layup after layup inside towards the end.

Great win. Low scoring, but that's exactly what the Indians want. Good, correct prediction by me:cool:.

Holy Cross should start getting some recognition after this W.

Wow...nice win for the Indians. I thought Ryle would win by around 10+. Maybe HC is better than some of us predicted?

I would say you are right on point with that assessment.

I think some of us just get too caught up in the matchups. It seems like every game HC is going to lose because they will get dominated inside. Yes HC is small but the reality of it is they rarely get dominated inside even when they lose. HC has a system that works for them right now, and they are going to keep most of their games low scoring and close.

As for HC being better than predicted, maybe they are for some, but for me I still say it's Holmes with a lot of distance between them and second which is Boone. After that I say it is completely up in there with the next 6 to 7 teams. Most of those teams have a chance of knocking off Boone as well, but I think Boone will be more consistent than the rest of them.

HC has their way to nullify any size mismatches inside, and tries to make that team's size work for them(HC) with their perimeter and pitch oriented offense.

Please someone that was there give us the back story on a 9-6 halftime score. Was Tony Yates coaching the Indians?

Nice win by HC. They kept the ball outside of the lane for most of the game and Ryle continued to run a 1 3 1 D instead of picking up man to man early on. Ryle for whatever reason would not pound the inside with their size????? You have to scratch your head if your a Ryle fan. My hat is off to the HC coach for spreading the offense out. Ryle never adjusted and never capitalized on their advantages.

Yeah I'd say Goetz completely outcoached Mullins.

I was trying to be nice but I would agree.

That is Holy Cross's identity this year to have an ugly, low-scoring game(every one of their games has been this way). With that said it was still even a ridiculously low halftime score for their games.

Ryle's zone D did slow down the Indians, who were patient and handled it. Also, once Ryle had to step up man to man,(as said earlier), they really couldn't guard them and HC was just getting layups.
