January 1, 200917 yr Ugly game on South Carolina's part. I had no dog in the fight, but I kind of like the ol' ball coach. BTW - This was my second Outback watching from a luxury suite (My other was Michigan/NC State in the old Sombrero). It's OK, with the open bar, food, service, air conditioning, and all, but if the Bulls or Wildcats were playing, I prefer my normal seats in section 115.
January 1, 200917 yr Final Where are all the SEC apologists. :confused: This has to be an embarrassing loss. Iowa is a good team, South Carolina is not very good. I usually pull for the SEC schools, but I don't much care for the Gamecocks and like the way Iowa plays. Not $urpri$ed at all by this one.:sssh:
January 1, 200917 yr A decent Iowa team takes it to one of the better SEC coaches. Guess speed didn't factor this one. Iowa did beat Penn St if I remember correctly. They lost 4 games by a combined total of 12 points, all to bowl teams.

They lost those 4 close games, and they had chances to win them all. Iowa was underrated the whole year, good to see them take it to the almighty SEC..
