Workman and Hamilton are shooters without a doubt. The ball should be put in their hands a lot more.

Shooters are shooters are shooters, but the question is WHEN to shoot.

 

In my observations the Bears sometimes settle for quick shots that they could get pretty much anytime without working for something better.

 

Maybe I just saw him on a good night but I was impressed with Todd Jefferson, the sophomore, and if I were king of Polar Bear world we would have a rule that he touches the ball on each possession and that the only quick Workman or Hamilton shots would be taken from Jefferson (inside) out.

I think, in my case anyway that thought by bringing in a guy who had been on Western Kentucky's staff that this team was going to be guns blazing right from the start,challenge for All A,etc. But with the way things have gone so far this season, most everyone in Bracken County thinks they could have coached them better than a 2-11 season so far. Wanting results,but not getting any,same as with football team. I'll ask again,anyone know when or if Levi Appleman(the point guard) will play this season?

Not really for sure,maybe someone that knows will tell us

Not making excuses, but Bracken is a small school, who now has football and has changed coaches a few times lately. But always seem to have a good faithful fan base and will take there turn with good classes coming thru like every other small school.

 

You'd be surprized the difference adding football makes. It takes a lot of concentration off basketball, especially at the small schools. Look for them to rebound in 3-4 years after the students get used to being two sporters.:thumb:

I made a comment back when they hired Coach Breeze that I would hope that some of the Bracken faithful would be patient with Coach Breeze and from viewing some of the comments, looks like there are some that probably never will. Most likely sour grapes, but every program has that and winning generally cures a lot of the negative comments. I will say this again, give the guy a chance, he is playing without his point guard which we all know directs and coaches on the floor. Once everyone is healthy, and this young bunch finds the way to win in more games, they will be dangerous in the All A. Best of luck to the Coach Breeze and his Polar Bears.

The big issue with Coach Breeze's hiring was that many felt there was no loyalty to the coaches in the county and already in the coaching system at Bracken County. I don't know what the answer is and I for one am glad I'm not the one making the decisions, but I also feel the one's making the decisions are not necessarily the correct ones for that job either.

 

Heard there was a meeting today and Coach Doyle is no longer the Freshman Coach, not sure what that will accomplish, but I'm not sure anyone else does either. Hope things get turned around and they start playing as a team and leave all the jealously and resentment out of it. JMO

Who will be coaching the freshman? There is some talent in that group. Was their record bad or anything. Anyone know what the JV's record is this year,believe they have a new coach as well?

He never shouldve been the freshmen coach anyway. How did he get there to begin with?

I don’t understand what Bracken will accomplish from firing there freshman coach, and being highly upset at the head coach. I don’t know what they expected when you hire a coach who has never coached! Bracken fans just need to calm down, the more they get there panties in a bunch the worse it is going to get, for the coach, and the kids. The fans, and I guess more of, the parents have almost stolen this basketball season from the kids! The fans need to get off the back of the young coach, and start looking inward at the school board and AD. This program has hired unknown and undeserved coaches left and right and always has over look coaches who have been in the system, and deserves to move up!

I am shocked to hear that people in Brooksville are upset with Coach Breeze. Where are not talking about a whole lot of talent over there. This team lost several starters and only won I believe 4 games last year. I don't see Bracken Co. play every night but I have seen them play several times this year. The last game I saw was against Brossart and after the game I told my buddy that Breeze was a superstar coach of the future in the 10th region do to the improvement I saw from last year to now. And aren't you guys without your best player, Appelman (knee injury??).

And heck, I read the other day one of their kids is ranked in the top 10 in the state in 3 point shooting, when is the last time Bracken could say something like that?
