BluegrassPreps.com Football Team - Discussion

Congratulations to all the players who were named to the BGP Team. Since there is no 2nd team, 3rd team, or honorable mention, and only 36 players qualify for this honor, this to me is the hardest team to make and thus a VERY HIGH HONOR for those named.

Special congratulations go out to a super group of St. X. Tiger seniors (Deuce Finch, DJ Hall, Seth Harvey, and Trevor Foy) who qualified for this BGP honor. All of us in Tigertown will greatly miss your presence on the field next year. Best of everything to all of you in your college careers.

12 man defense? Just askin

You've never seen the 4-4-4 defense. Several teams in Jefferson County have tried this from time to time with little or no success.

Congrats to all and I will mention one that I think should have been on the Athlete list - Brady Slusher of Beechwood. To help the team, he played out of position all year at offensive tackle (excellent starting TE last year) and received all star recognition at OT. He made first team all star on defense and dominated games from defensive end. He also played fullback in Beechwood's short yardage wishbone formation and did a great job there. Brady was the definition of athlete on the football field and a key reason Beechwood was able to repeat.
