Not sure I'd agree with that. A big athletic team can give SC fits but IMO they are a legit top 3 team and are still the biggest threat to Holmes, IMO, to cut down the nets in March.

 

Their 3 losses have come to two top 25 teams in the country and #1 in the state, Holmes.

Can someone please explain to me why Franklin County at #21 has a loss to Clarkrange,TN when the Flyers have not played them. FC is currently 6-1 with their only loss coming to NY State #1 Jamesville-DeWitt by 6 points.

It's done by computer...so naturally there are going to be errors. There are other teams in the rankings who flaws with their information as well.

Cawood is ranked. Evarts. is ranked. Cumberland High is ranked. Normally this would not have been a problem if Cawood hadn't been consolidated with Evarts and Cumberland into Harlan County High School.

 

To make matters worse, Cumberland is ranked 74 spots higher than Harlan County.

Also, The David School is ranked higher than schools like Somerset. If I'm not mistaken, The David School isn't even fielding a team this year. I could go on and on about things I noticed here that are 100% bogus.

OK, let's see if we can make any sense out of what you are saying.

First if you check the official site that reports KHSAA sporting events, you will see that it still lists Cumberland, Cawood and Evarts as teams who have yet to report rosters or stats so far this year.

Second if you check the Calprep web site you will see that all three teams are shown as freelance teams with no wins and no losses. So, they are doing the best they can with the information that they can gather from the internet. They most probablely are ranked on last years records until they report win and losses (which they can't because they don't exist) for the current season.

So the official site for Kentucky sporting events needs to remove the teams from their web site and then rankings such as Calpreps can reflect those changes.

 

Also, David School is listed on the Calpreps site as freelance with no games played.

They have GRC with 3 losses....we only have 2. The other loss they have listed is to Mercer ....that was a girls score...not boys.

 

Not a very creditable site.
