Holmes D will be what determines how far they go in March. Their offense is not consistent enough but their D can be stifling.

 

I have to disagree on the part about their offense not being consistent enough. They're averaging 64 ppg and have scored under 60 just twice through 7 games. One of those games was a 24 point win (59-35) in which their starters didn't play but 3 minutes of the 4th quarter. Scoring is actually one of their strengths this year because they have good outside shooting unlike last year.

6 dunks in one game for a HS player is unreal. Pittman is slowly establishing himself as the most dominant player in the state for his position.

That was a statement game by Holmes. They deffinitely were not looking ahead for te potnetial showdown with BS. This was a focussed team that dismantled a very solid KY HS team.

I don't know ER, he seems to be getting better and better with each game. His little groth spurt over the summer has made him very dominant. I think he just starting to realize that himself. I'm not going to say he's the best player in the State, but he may have the most upside. Sure wish I didn't have to work tomorrow night. Will you be there ER?

I'm not ready to concede that he's the best player in the state, but the way he's playing right now and the way he's dominated the other top big men in the state (Phares and Euton), I'd definetly say he's the best at his position. He is indeed getting better and better with each game and it seems like he's finally realizing his potential and upside, as you said, which is making him play harder.

 

Not sure if I'm going to the game tomorrow or not. It's still up in the air. I'll let you know if I decide to go though.
