Second game of the Defenders of the Station Classic at Bryan Station tonight at 7:30.

 

Holmes is coming off a 24 point win in which they held Knox Central's Cody Miller to just 6 points.

 

Ballard is coming off a 2 point win over Tates Creek.

 

Thoughts? Predictions?

As far as the game, I see Pittman being the X-factor. Ballard is a fairly small team and will have nobody that can match up with him. Expect him to have a solid game down low.

 

The key for Holmes is not allowing Cox or Chiles to get hot. If they can do this, I don't think we'll see a close game throughout.

From what I hear, Cox won't be playing tonight, but it's a game time decision, so who knows.

5'10 Cox v 6'0 Riley

5'11 Means v 6'2 Housely

6'1 Chiles v 6'4 J. Johnson

6'3 Jones v 6'5 R. Johnson

 

Not sure who Ballard will play at the 5 to match up with 6'7 Pittman.

It don't look good for Ballard on paper. I don't see how they can keep Holmes off the offensive glass and thats the Bulldog s strength. If I remember correctly Phares for SC had a huge day against Ballard. I look for Housley to come weak side with a few put back dunks. He is in the air.

I agree. I expect Pittman and both Johnson Brothers to have a huge day down low on the glass with the height advantage they'll have.
