December 20, 200817 yr Haven't followed this story quite as closely as I would have liked. Why is the state not pursing the death penalty against the mother? If she's found guilty, they should not only pursue her execution, but hopefully botch it up a couple of times before getting it to take.

December 20, 200817 yr It makes me sick to my stomach that a little girls life was lost like this, and the way her mother referred to her in the IM's they found and texts is disgusting. =/ She was so cute, and she looked so happy in the pictures and videos. Shame on the mother for what she did and I hope she rots.

But I was unaware that the state had apparently already decided some time back that they would not seek the death penalty in this case and I'm wondering why. A quick perusal of a Google search did not tell me.

December 20, 200817 yr Eye for an eye in this case seemed like a no brainer. For the mother to act like she did, knowing that the whole time she had done this, sickening. This is as bad as the guy down there (in FL) who raped and buried that little girl alive a few years ago. I hope that there is a special section of Hades set aside for these people.....
December 20, 200817 yr They should put that mother down like a dog. I have no pity for anyone that hurts a child period. This little girl was found with duct tape over her mouth so there was obviousl intent to kill this little girl and it wasnt an accident. May God have mercy on her soul.
December 20, 200817 yr I don't want to comment on the mother right now, but what is really disturbing to me was that she had duct tape over her mouth, which one of the forensics experts on tv when the remains were first found said she was still alive when whaterver happened to her happened.
December 20, 200817 yr brd, that makes this even more worse than it was. How can they justify allowing this monster to live? I lose more and more faith in our "justice system" everyday! If you are willing to kill your own child in this manner, how can you be "Rehabilitated". IT'S HOGWASH! Her level of remorse (dancing, partying and generaly having the time of her life) while all the while this child had suffered and died, speaks for itself. I hope the skankiest skank in the Florida Department of Corrections claims her as property soon! Do what needs to be done in a case like this. Proven fact: 100% of all executed criminals have never commited another crime (well, in this world, anyway.) If it was a rabid dog running loose, we'd take care of it. December 20, 200817 yr How about the police in this case. I watched the news last night. The utility worker that found her had reported it to the police two other times. The first time (I think) the police came out and stopped looking telling the worker that there was a snake. The second time, from what I understand, the police did not even come out....the third time was when she was found. I know in my heart of hearts that the mom did this, but, I wonder if the worker will become suspect. He returned to that same place three times. Just a thought....I bet that Casey's parents will get an attorney to look into the utility worker.... A side note....Dr G did the autopsy. When she talked on the news last night, she looked really mad. She said the cause of death is not decided at this time, but, it was murder. There is no telling what this little angel went through before her death. As far as Casey goes, she is evil. Someone may try to pin a diagnosis on her, however, sometimes a person is not sick, just plain evil and spoiled. I really think she was very jealous of her own child.
