I thought Samuels struggled. He is a big ole boy with a nose for the ball. Got stuffed around the rim tonight. Did not come away real impressed with his athleticism, but there is a lot to like about him. Just a freshman like game but got some boards.

Mardo definitely struggled last night... I think at one point he was like 1-12 from the field, all of course being lay-ups/putbacks. It seems like to me he doesn't use his strength or aggressiveness around the basket as much as he should. I saw several times last night where he attempted to lay the ball in instead of just dunking it. Again, he is a freshman, and I think these tendencies will be addressed.

Clark may have been accounted for, offensively, for the last 30 minutes, BUT, he was a monster at all other phases of the game for 40 minutes...games like tonight just may land him as a lottery pick.

He's gotta be a lotto pick. Too much talent and potential.

Went to the game last night and had a great time. US Bank Arena is a great place to watch a ballgame, not a bad seat in the house. Clark dominated early, but was very quiet in the second half. UL needs to make a more concerned effort with getting him touches, good things happen when the ball is in his hands.

I'm fairly certain Edgar Sosa has digressed since he came to UL. Terrible decision maker when he has the ball in his hands. He may be a better scorer, but if I'm Pitino the bulk of the minutes need to go to McGee.

Williams' box score won't look impressive, but he does a lot of good things for this team that go unnoticed. He will always be the best athlete on the floor, and as he goes so does UL IMO.

Tough night for Samuels, but he'll be fine. Still has to develop a low post game, has just been getting by on strength up to this point. He'll experience some growing pains during the Big East schedule, but he'll be a good one for the Cards when its all said and done.

On a side note, me and my boys hit up Newport on the Levee after the game last night. Little disappointed in the scenery compared to Louisville, but you don't get much better than a Dunkel from the Hofbrau Haus. I'd never been before, but I will certainly be heading back. :D

Also, it's being reported that the injury Chris Warren suffered in the last minute was a torn ACL. Real tough break if true, I really like the way he plays.

If true, that's the 3rd ACL tear for the team this year. Warren is indeed a lot of fun to watch, and I hope he gets back to 100% for next season...

Warren is done for the year, they ran the test this morning and confirmed the tear.
