I agree with on this, I haven't seen them play , but if you look at there opponents and the scores of the games it would be difficult to disagree with your statement.

 

I agree. Eastern will prove themselves throughout the season and end up a top 10 team IMO.

I think by mid season you will see 3 NKY teams in the top 15. Holmes, Highlands and Boone Co. These teams loaded with Juniors which makes it even more interesting. Well, Highlands has no seniors and Boone Co might have a couple. Holmes I know is primarily underclassmen outside of JaMel Riley. Lots of talent across the state in this year's JR class but this is a prediction I will make now and check later.

Not sure I'd have EC in front of J'town. Maybe right now, since they don't have Cosby, but when they get him back, no way EC should be ranked ahead of them. Until EC plays and beats a top 20 team, they are right where they belong at #5.

Debatable. I think Highlands has the advantage inside and depth wise with Watson, Dill, Grote and Welz, but Boone's guards may be a little better offensively. Defensively, it's not contest that Highlands is the better of the two.

 

Highlands beat them last year pretty soundly and only lost 2 starters from that team, but neither were healthy for the majority of the season, so IMO Highlands would win. We'll know soon enough. They play Jan. 12th at home.

Cosby transferrred in the middle of last season so he is ineligible until after Christmas. J'Town has been without him all year. He will be a HUGE impact once he becomes eligible.

By alot, but to me there comes a point where it doesn't really matter if you beat someone by 55 or 35 points one is not really any better than the other when the margin is that big. Odds are that Elliott Co. would beat Christian Adcademy by more than 11. But perhaps they are in the same district and know one another well. Both teams are good and havent played good competition yet. While EC has looked dominate in thier games and perhaps Jtown's victories havent been as impressive, Jtown not having thier best player would have a big impact on that. So I put EC ahead based on performance, but that does not mean that Jtown would lose to them if they played.

I like this top 10. Station clearly deserve to be #1. I would put Clark County in front of Manual.

Maybe Bardstown is overrrated. Manual obviously needs Jenkins back as they dropped two prior to this. It can happen, early season polls are often inaccurate.

I personally think Bardstown is overrated. I wasn't very impressed with them last year in the sweet 16 when I saw them against Holmes.

I concur with this assessment. The glaring weakness in Bardstown is their depth and lack of ballhandlers.

Isn't one of Bardstown's best athletes and players still out with injuries from a car wreck?

Many including myself thought the 5th was going to be a strong region. North Hardin and Bardstown not impressive in early season results. Maybe the 5th is not that strong this year. Adair is 5-0 but only beat Campellsville by 1 point. Any thoughts on that region??
