Teams need to hope Riley is off the mark and they might try exerting some pressure of their own but then again it might turn into a DUNKFEST if they arent able to press Holmes. :scared: I can see Billy Hicks and those athletes trying it out and seeing success but I cant name one NKY team that could do that to Holmes to be quite honest.

 

I have to agree with you here. I think Highlands could be Holmes toughest test of the year, but looking at the match ups in the starting 5, it doesn't bode well for out Birds. The bench will have to have a HUGE game.

I don't think HHS stands a chance. The fact that CCH was in this game at all, with how poor we have been playing shows that the Birds don't have a prayer.

I disagree with you on this, I think Highlands has a very good chance with their physical style of defense and ball control offense.

 

On the other hand, when CovCath has to play Holmes, good lord. You wanna talk about turnovers you might see a NKY record broken.

After seeing both teams Sun. and add fact the game is at Holmes, I wouldn't say the Birds have a "very good" chance. I'm not writing the Birds off as they are solid and anything can happen. I think the Birds have a better chamce if the game would be in their crackerbox gym.

HHS: I haven't seen the typical Willie-style defense the last two years. Maybe that's because he has more skilled players now. It is nowhere near where it was 3 years ago. I didn't see one forearm shiver.

It will be tough to win AT Holmes but the key to winning will be to try and jump on them early. If Holmes gets a 8-12 point lead in the first half, I don't see the Birds being able to come back and it could get ugly. We haven't shown the ability to knock down the outside shot this year. A lot of Highlands points come in the paint and well, we know what will be waiting for them down low against Holmes...a 7 foot wingspan who can get up in Pittman and two more kids with a 40 inch vertical in both Johnson Brothers :scared:
