Where is Spindoc? What is his opinion now? Was TC in this second tier of teams he was talking about?

Relax Fan, I haven't gone anywhere. Let me ask you this, do you think for one second that SC isn't gonna get everyones A-game(and then some) each and every time they tip it up? Last I checked, the final is all that counts, when you have more than the other folks, you win. Make it out to be what you wish. I never said they were unbeatable which is how you try and make me sound. I suppose the game with Holmes should shine some light on how tough SC truly is. If SC is 15-1 in a few weeks but only winning by single digits, will that make them any less 15-1?

True and other teams not highly ranked seem to be putting up over 70 points on Scott County too. And they all seem to be shooting a better percentage than the Cardinals.

Easy to have a let down after going to OT with one of the top teams in the nation in a televised game.

Breeden is a great coach and always gets his teams to play smart and hard. Fucci and Barkesdale are pretty talented kids. Kudos to the Creek.

 

These two posts pretty much sum things up. SC looked out of sync the entire first half, shots weren't falling and with the exception of the run they put together at the top of the 3rd to erase a 12 point TC lead in less than 4 minutes, they never really looked totally in sync.

 

Wayne Breeden is hands down one of the finest coaches in the state. Fucci, Barksdale and crew are certainly players, and showed a lot of heart last night. Breeden had them prepared and squeezes every last bit of talent and effort out of his players. Hats off to TC, they are going to open some eyes.

 

On the other hand, SC took TC's best shot and pulled out an ugly win at TC. If SC ever finds and settles into their rhythm, they will be very difficult to handle.

No but they are my school and I have had several posts that were I was negative so I thought I would say something positive. I do believe Holmes will have to score at least 75-80 points to beat SC, something they have not done yet this season. But I guess we will find out on Sunday.

Yes you are also correct when a team is on top of the mountain that everyone is shooting for them. They have the #1 ranking on their chest, and the teams they play will bring everything they've got.

 

Also, don't you think the season will be a lot more fun if they are challenged? It will certainly make Kentucky High School basketball more interesting this season.

There is a gap between the SC basketball program and the next tier, as proven by there ability to fund their sports programs (ie Toyota ticket fundraiser), and to reload with impact players every year.

 

SC's program is currently the standard by which all others are measured.

They have the #1 ranking on their chest, and the teams they play will bring everything they've got.

Again, I think you're overstating what I said. I said a marked gap between them and next tier. And I still believe that. They play poorly and still win. Holmes, GRC and others have played poorly and lost. I don't think they'll stroll through the season here in KY and not lose, as I've stated before.

I stated that I was negative about SC. I have stated over and over again that SC will lose some games and they are not so far ahead of other teams in the state. However it will be intersting to see if Holmes can score enough to win the ballgame.

 

As far as biased goes, keep drinking the Holmes Kool Aid. You over hype that team so much that it is almost funny.
