Fan support has been awful to say the least. And it's not like X is packing Cintas. Only one of their 4 home games has sold out. You mean get UC fans' mind on hoops, right? The rest of the city switched to hoops a while back.

Can't argue that, but Mo pushes it a lot for UC and X and doesn't get calls. It's not a major story on any news station. Not much coverage in the Enquirer. Blogs and message boards are still more focused on CFB and the God awful Bengals. The town as a whole is no where close to "basketball mode". Here in NKY? Sure, but that the nature of a fan base highly dedicated to UK hoops. In Cincinnati, I don't see it. And that's from an X and UC perspective...

As far as what he will do to get his players prepared for the game, Cronin says he will do the same things as he has in years past. “We still only have one guy on our team who has beaten Xavier,” said Cronin. “Deonta has played in two shootouts, and some other guys have played in one, but we’re still more experienced than the last two years. We will still get together the night before the game at my house, get some Montgomery Inn, and watch last year’s shootout, so guys can get acclimated to the feel and the intensity of the environment of the game.” Cronin was also asked if he was happy that his players would get to finally play a game in an electric environment. He says it will be nice to see Fifth Third’s seats filled, but says this will not be the first time they will play in a crazy environment. He stressed the importance of the fans, particularly students, getting out the games and supporting the team. “Well we already played in an electric environment,” said Cronin. “The problem is that it was at UNLV. I’m looking forward to our fans to coming to our away games.
